IMPORT-EXPORT BUSINESSES, including the diamond trade, are a major focus of the sizable Lebanese community in DRC. Some of the Lebanese economic activity is aimed at domestic consumption, however. That includes some exceptionally tasty shawarma and hummous that I had for lunch in town yesterday with colleagues.
